Mette Rosencrantz

Mette Rosencrantz and Basquewille, her Danish Warmblood Gelding, won the $25,000 Invitational Grand Prix at the World Cup this April 20, 2007 and placed 3rd in 2005 and currently stands in the Top 12 in America. This much loved and admired international dressage rider has been based at Mill Creek since 1992 and offers an unparalleled Dressage program. Mette is from Sweden where she was twice a member of the Swedish National Dressage Team. She was the youngest rider ever allowed to enter Stromsolm, Sweden’s prestigious school for instructors, and eventually became the head dressage instructor there in 1980.

Mette has a University degree in Physical Education instruction and is the author of the celebrated book, STRETCHING FOR RIDERS. She also has highly regarded videos for effective riding which are available in tack stores. Mette’s teaching skills are highly sought-after as top dressage riders from across Southern California often trailer their horses to Mill Creek just to take lessons with her. Mette’s expertise is also in great demand across the country, so she is often invited to teach dressage clinics at other riding facilities throughout the United States.

Mette has riders and horses in training at all dressage levels and is available for private and semi-private lessons. The dressage ring she uses on the Mill Creek property, with its mirrors and stunning setting, is one of the most beautiful arenas in Los Angeles.
