Juan Matute

Juan Matute was born in Bilbao, Spain, on January 16th, 1961. He started riding at the age of 8 and has quite an extensive show record of National and International awards, titles and metals of mostly gold and silver.

Although educated as a lawyer, Juan had dedicated his life to horses and has never practiced law.

He is also responsible for training and exporting PRE horses for dressage such as Gaucho III, grand prix level, now in Florida; Bizarro, finalist at the ANCCE finals in 2000; and Mulato (Marqués de Velilla), winner of silver and bronze medal at the ANCCE finals in 1999.

He was a member of the Spanish Dressage Team at the Barcelona, Seoul, and Atlanta Olympic Games. Juan is a National Judge by the Spanish Federation.

He resides with his family in Florida where he is a highly sought after Dressage coach.
